PCI Dual Serial (RS232) Card

This RS232 Card provides 2x industry standard RS232 COM ports over 1 PCI slot. The fast UART gives this card a guaranteed transfer rate up to 115Kbps.

The MRI-PCIDS/R RS-232 serial card leverages the Plug & Play capability defined in the PCI 2.2 bus specification. This card implements Dual 16C550 UARTs containing 32-byte FIFOs. It has a clock-multiplying feature allowing the board to achieve data rates as high as 115Kbps. The high clock speeds and deep FIFOs will greatly reduce CPU overhead, making this card an ideal choice for heavy multi-tasking environments.

All two channels are addressed in a continuous 32 byte I/O block for simplified software access and may also share one PCI interrupt. An interrupt status register is available for determining the interrupt source. All PCI registers are properly implemented, and users can be assured that it will be a good citizen over your PCI bus.
