The MRI-eSATA-PCM is an ideal solution for any user with a CardBus interface wishing to benefit from storage peripherals with a SATA 1.5GBps interface. This card supports any 2 Serial ATA devices with eSATA features. Serial ATA is a high-speed serial link that operates much faster than USB or Firewire attached mass storage devices.

The built-in Silicon Image chip provides 256-byte FIFOs, watchdog, 32-bit CardBus transfer features and complete software. It is the right choice for a CardBus to Serial ATA versatile devices. The serial link employed is a high-speed differential layer that utilizes Gigabit technology and 8b/10b encoding.
