MRI-eSATA-II-e1/1R5
PCIe x1 1 internal, 1 external port eSATA II RAID 0, 1, 5 and JBOD controller
This SATA/eSATA host adapter, converts x1 PCI express to 2-port Serial ATA (SATA) II RAID and boasts server-class features right into your desktop.
The MRI-eSATA-II-e1/1R5 is based on Sil3132 chipset and supports x1 2.5Gbps PCI express bus and the SATA II transfer rate of 3.0Gbps (300 MB/s). It has its own onboard chip to supply full Hardware based RAID 0+1 as well as software provided for RAID 5 & JBOD configurations. It can host external devices due to its Native Command Queuing, enclosure management device support, and selectable output strengths for backplanes with hot-plug support as well as similar internal configurations.
It also supports the SATA port multiplier specification (SiI3726) and FIS-based switching, which enables the execution of commands and transfer of data to multiple drives concurrently for unequalled data throughput over a single SATA link. In addition, it has built in ATAPI commands applicable to optical drives such as Blu-ray and HD-DVD.
