MRI-eSATA-II-X64-4MR5
PCI-X 64Bit 4 Port Infiniband Multilane eSATA (II) Controller with RAID 0, 1, 5 and JBOD
Introducing the Cream of our SATA host adapter range. Providing anyone with a PCI-X 64 slot unparalleled features and performance.
The MRI-eSATA-II-X64-4R5 is based on the radical chip architecture from Silicon Image, the SiI 3124 chipset offers a 4 port SATA II host controller over a single Multilane, Infiniband connection, that takes SATA bus performance and features to enterprise levels. Capable of controller to disk transfer rates up to 4x 3.0Gbps (12Gbps), this card is perfect for mass transaction servers, such as web, email, application and data storage systems that require maximum performance.
The 4 independent Serial ATA channels can be added over a 512MB/sec PCI-X slot, which can be configured for both RAID and non-RAID operations. Hardware RAID 0 (striping), RAID 1 (mirroring), RAID 1+0 (mirrored stripe), as well as software RAID 5 (parity stripe) features are supported through Silicon Images SATARaid RAID management utility. Designed for optimum performance, multiple commands for each port can be loaded into the chip memory eliminating the need for host CPU intervention and minimizing PCI bus usage. Command execution engines dramatically reduce latency between commands, ensuring that drives stay fully loaded with queued commands.
