MRI-SATA-II-4R5
PCI 2.3 4 port SATA RAID 0,1,5 and JBOD controller with Low Profile Bracket
Add Server standard features to your desktop, whilst taking your data configurations into advanced performance unmatched by PCI counterparts.
The MRI-SATA-II-4R5 is designed for servers with a higher level of data transactions, found in servers hosting databases, websites, email and applications. As well as boasting a good aggregate transfer rate RAID 5 offers high availability in the event of disk failure by rebuilding lost data onto a new replaced Serial ATA (SATA) drive whilst the system continues to run. There must be a minimum of three SATA disks in the RAID set for this to function.
Utilising PCI 2.3 this card will work in practically any PCI slot you may have available. By offering a variety of RAID configurations, users may opt for Hardware RAID 0, 1, 0+1 or Software RAID 5 & JBOD, maximising this cards ability to work to your data requirements. Fully supporting Native Command Queuing (NCQ) results in increased performance for workloads and decreased wear of the drive.
Features
- Provides RAID 1 (Mirroring) to protect the data from a disk failure by writing identical data on 2 drives
- Provides RAID 0 (Stripping) to greatly increase the performance of data transfer by simultaneously writing data to multiple drives
- RAID 0+1 (Mirrored-Stripping) combine both Striping and Mirroring technologies to provide both the performance enhancements that come from Striping and the data availability and integrity that comes from Mirroring
- Supports RAID 5 (parity) for the most reliable performance!
- Supports JBOD (Just a Bunch Of Disks) for expanded customisability!
- Coexists with Ultra ATA controllers and allows you connect up to 4 more SATA (II) devices.
